Work and Power
We will be using the information from the Newton's Laws page for these calculations.Work
Work is force multiplied by distance. We already know the force, and we know that the gymnast's run is 22.7m, so we can find the work.
Power
Power is work with respect to the change in time. Knowing that the gymnast's run is approximately three seconds long, we can easily figure out the power that she generates.
